About Us
Yurtel ltd is the brainchild of Lisa and Tom who in 2007 created Gecko Yurts, a yurt hire company specialising in children's parties, romantic getaways and a mobile spa. The Yurtel has evolved as a unique mobile boutique hotel and event space.
Tom has an Events Management degree and has been working in events for a number of years. He has also been a practising massage therapist since 2004, specialising in Thai foot and body massage, deep tissue with trigger point work for pain management and a signature head to toe relaxer. He has worked at Relax BBC, The Energy Clinic, EC1 and has built a thriving private client base.
Lisa, an Aromatherapist specialises in deeply relaxing treatments including Swedish massage, facials, Indian head massage, reiki, pregnancy massage, hot stones and baby massage. Lisa is also a yoga instructor and massage teacher. She has worked in numerous spas and clinics over the last 6 years including Neal’s Yard Remedies Covent Garden and at the Angel Therapy rooms N1.
We have combined our skills in massage and relaxation to create a training programme where our therapists learn skills and routines to take clients to that really special place where the body starts to heal itself.
Our mantra is "Quality is in the detail" and we bring this into every aspect of our business. You will experience this if you are staying with us at a festival, using us for your special party venue or for your fantastic hen party.
